AMTEC® Amtec® threaded insert fasteners are available in both unified and metric thread sizes. They are made from brass, steel and in some particular designs plastic to promote efficient re-cycling.
The Amtec® Spreadsert® is designed to press into a hole in a boss and is self retained. When the mating screw is driven in the Spreadsert expands anchoring itself within the hole wall.
Amtec® Quicksert® self tapping threaded insert cuts its own thread into a boss or molded hole.
The Amtec® Hitsert® is installed using ultrasonic insertion equipment.
The Amtec® Plastic Hitsert® is pressed into a boss. This plastic fastener is designed to provide strong threads and allows for the component part to be easily recycled.
The Amtec® Hitsert II® is designed to be pressed into a plastic boss. Its unique body groove profile provides easy insertion, minimized stress on the parent material and exceptional pull out strength.
The Amtec® Hitsert® is designed to be installed in a plastic boss using heat insertion equipment.
